We have now reached the halfway point for the first trimester. So, it's time to look back and see where we are and where we want to go next.
For this assignment, I want you to assess yourself as a science student. Please write about:
1. Where are you strong/what do you do well?
2. Where could you improve?
3. What will you specifically try to improve over the next 6 weeks?

I think I do well in handing in my homework on time

I think i do pretty good with my homework and i also think i'm a good science student that may need to work on some of his problem to speak out of turn and inturupt other which is rudeness.
Personally, I think that I do a good job on getting to class on time, prepared and ready to go. I do think I need to work on organizing my time better. I've tended to leave things to the last minute in class, and I need to work on that! I also think I need to work on better note-taking. My notes right now are very scattered and confusing- even to me! I really want to either re-write my notes, or think of a more organized way to write them for the rest of the year.
Overall, I am doing a good job in science class. I do all my homework and class work. My behavior in class is good and I am respectful to Mr. Ardito and my classmates. I did an excellent job on the first science test. I could improve on thinking deeper and trying to analyze things better.
I'm usually pretty good at turning homework assignments in on time. (Knock on wood). And getting to class on time and prepared. I really think I could improve alot on measuring. Maybe also making observations or inferances that arn't stupid like: "The clock is metal" and then "the designer designed it to be metal." I know I have to think a little deeper. But also about the measurment thing... I need to work on that alot more.
I think I should try to study my notes, and probably rewrite them, and add stuff to them, so they're more organized and make sense. That way I can look back and really have a more organized notebook, with a neater measurment table and stuff.
I think I do well with handing in my homework on time and coming in prepared to class. I believe that I could definately improve on not talking while the teacher is talking. I will try my best to study, take notes and just work as hard as I can over than next six weeks and hopefully the whole rest of the school year.
I think that I hand in my homework on time and don’t do it with haste or during school.
I think that I could work on reading directions better because I tend to speed through them and do the problem wrong.
I will really try to find a way to study. I usually cram in everything for the test and then afterwards I completely forget. I just need a way that makes sense to me and i will try really hard to figure it out.
I think that so far this year I have been doing very well on taking tests and working with others. I'm good at taking notes and working hard for tests. I do believe that I need to improve on not talking while Mr. Ardito is talking.
I think I do very well on being prepared for class and handing in my homework on time. I'm good at studying for tests, and taking notes in class. I could probably improve on talking to much in class.
I will specifically improve on not talking when Mr. Ardito is talking over the next 6 weeks.
So far this year I am really enjoying science. I think that I am doing a pretty good job, and even though I have missed 1 homework, I think I have made up for it with my participation in class. One thing I think I am doing well is the blog assignments. I turn them in on time, and they (in my opinion) are always very clear and interesting. I could improve on not talking and my notes could also be improved, I need to work on making them neater. Over the next 6 weeks, I am going to work on my behavior in class. I don't talk all the time, but sometimes when I sit with friends, I start talking and don't stop. I can see how this would be frustrating to the teacher, and I will try my best to correct this behavior.
I think i do very well in handing in the homework. I also think i understand most of the material very well. However i need a lot of work in the area of measurements and converting one type of measurement into another. I am going to try and work on measurements in the weeks to come.
1.)I think I am strong at observation, inference, and prediction. I think I do all of these things very well. I really don’t think I need to improve these skills.
2.)I think I could improve in measuring accurately, and converting. I think I need much improvement in both, but more the converting. I think I should practice these more.
3.)I will try to improve the measuring and converting (mostly the converting) by practicing. I will also look over my notes. I will pay attention in class and around scientific things. Lastly I will find hints/tips to make me better understand these topics, and make them easier for me to do.
I think that I am usually good at getting my homework in on time. I think that I am also good at listening in class. I think that I need to actually study hard for my tests, instead of spacing when I read over my notes. And a specific thing I should try for, is conversions in measurement, I can't quite get that part. So, I will try to try harder when I don't get something next time. I will also try to study for real over the next six weeks, and beyond.
Something I think I do well in science is listen, I always have some idea of what you are talking about and I understand things quickly. I also think I am strong in the project area, but at the same time i think I can do better and want to do better. I think I could improve my notes skills. I feel the best way to understand things is through your notes. specifically I want to improve how i take advantage of the due dates, I need to stop waiting till the last minute.
-I think that sometimes (not always) I’m good at being quiet, mostly when there’s nothing to talk about.
-I think that I could try not waiting for the last second to finish things (projects etc.)
-I should try to improve remembering what my school and other assignments are.
I think that I am doing pretty good in science class. I think I am doing good with homework so far. I thought I did good with the measurement olympics. I also think I work well by myself. I can improve with my calling out in class and disrespect to you (Mr. Ardito). I want to specifically improve on doing that little extra bit on most of my assignments.
I think that I hand in my homework on time, show up to on time to class most of the time, pay attention well, and I don't talk that much. Also as a student I think that I can take better notes and pay more attention in class. For the next six weeks I think that I will try to improve taking better notes and try to pay more attention.
i think that i need to work on turning i my HW more often. And i also think i need to stop speaking out of turn.
I also think that i am good at listening and doing what i am told to do.
I have a few weak spots though. I think i need to work o my measuring skills!
I think that I am strong in taking notes and writing. I think that I am also strong in turning in my assignments and putting alot of effort into them. I think that I could improve in not talking while Mr. Ardito is talking. I think that I could specifically improve in improving my class work.
I think as a science student I'm good at hands on expirements. I'm also good at taking notes. I could realy work on working with a groop because I always don't like working with people. I'm probaly gonna work on working with people and doing homework assignments. So that's how I describe my self as a science student.
I feel like i am pretty good at getting my homework done on time. I also think that i understand all the material and that I prepare well for class and always work hard. I think I need to work on taking better notes so i can study better for tests and I need to not talk to friends as much during class.
I feel that I am pretty good at science. I think that I am really good at taking notes during class, and doing procedures right. I think that I have a lot of good thought to share but I can work a little better on how not to burst out and say them. I also think that I have to be a little more respectful to Mr. Ardito and not, talking when he is talking.
Over the next 6 weeks I would like to handle my questions and be a little more respectful to Mr. ardito when he is talking. I also think that I can talk to my friends a little less during his class and learn and pay attention more. I am hoping to succeed in these goals.
